iOS 10.1.1 Jailbreak

Apple’s bid to keep iOS 10 running properly and without bugs continues with the release of iOS 10.1.1. As well as being determined that iOS 10 is not going to be the unstable buggy iOS version of years gone by, they are also working hard on eliminating the chances of a jailbreak utility being released. Italian developer, Luca Todesco, has already warned us that iOS 10 may be hard to jailbreak and, with the lack of information from other teams, he has released a public jailbreak. Called Yalu, it fully supports iOS 10.1.1 .

Before you Jailbreak :

But there are a couple of risk factors to it that you need to know.

  • Yalu is based on a beta jailbreak and some users may find it has some bugs and is somewhat unstable at times. This isn’t too much of a problem because Deleting Yalu is easier than installing it.
  • Talking of installing, Yalu must be side loaded with the help of a tool called Cydia Impactor rather than installed directly on your device. The steps for that are given below
  • Lastly, this is a semi-untethered jailbreak and, for those not used to these, you are going to have to get used to re-jailbreaking your iOS device whenever you reboot it [ more details on how to do that later ].

Download Yalu on iOS 10.1.1 :

Please make sure you follow these steps in order.

  1. Connect your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch to your computer and back your data up through iTunes and iCloud
  2. Disable your Passcode, Touch ID and Find my iPhone | iPad [ they can be turned on again afterward ]
  3. Download Yalu IPA File on your computer
  4. Download Cydia Impactor [ext link] on your computer and launch it
  5. Open the location where the .ipa file is saved and drag the file to Cydia Impactor; drop it into the open window
  6. Now you need to input your Apple ID and password
  7. Wait for Cydia Impactor to sign the certificate and side load Yalu to your device
  8. Now you can disconnect your device and open Settings > General > Profile and Device Management
  9. Tap Trust next to the Yalu certificate and go back to your home screen
  10. Double tap the mach_portal icon and wait for the installation to complete; your device will respring
  11. Now you should see Cydia on your home screen and the jailbreak is complete

Rejailbreak iOS 10.1.1 :

Because Yalu is a semi untethered utility, you must repeat step 10 each time your device reboots. The Yalu certificate is going to expire after 7 days if you use a free Apple ID so you will need to Rejailbreak your device. Follow the guide at the given link and, for more details and updates, follow us on Facebook.

  1. After successfully jailbreaking my iPad Mini 2, I had attempted to do the same with my iPhone 6 Plus. Once installing Yalu on my 6+ it worked fine up until about an hour later where it was bugging out and I had to reboot. After rebooting, I attempted to re-jailbreak with Yalu and it looks normal, but the black screen with the “booting” spinner just continues to go on and on without end until I force reboot. Any advice would be appreciated!

  2. So i have an iphone 7 on ios 10.1.1. i’ve been jailbreaking for years now so im not a noob when it comes to this stuff. I’ve heard that the jailbreak doesnt work on iphone 7 at all but ive also heard that the jailbreak works on i7 10.1.1. i have managed to successfully get cydia on my device, but the only problem is, when the “mach_portal” is jailbreaking my phone, instead of respringing the device, it restarts the device so yeah it has put cydia on my phone, but it wont load as the phone as restarted. anyone know a fix or a way to work around this?

  3. Thank You
Lua Todesco and Yalu jailbreak team for your work. I have successfully jail broken my phone.
    Phone 6+
    version 10.1.1(14B100)
    impactor used: Cydia Impactor 0.9.38
    jailbreak vers: yalu102_beta7.ipa
    computer OS: ubuntu 16:04 LTS

Note about installation. Initial installation success, but Cydia was not installed onto phone. Repeating of running jailbreak returned the following message. “Your phone is already jailbroken.” After second installation Cydia was present on the phone and working properly. Everything is working great, but I haven’t installed anything beyond the standard jailbreak yet. It has been 48 hours with zero problems.
    Again TY Yalu team
