It seems that we have been waiting such a long time for a jailbreak to be released for iOS 10.1.1 and, at long last it is here. It comes to us from Italian jailbreaker and developer Luca Todesco and it is called Yalu Jailbreak. Todesco is the last person we would have expected to release a public jailbreak, given that he generally uses his exploits for his own personal devices. However, he has gotten more involved in the public side of things just recently, seemingly taking over from Pangu, Taig and PP jailbreak teams.

The lack of information from these teams may be the reason why Todesco has stepped in, first warning us that jailbreaking is going to get harder and secondly providing us with this jailbreak. However, we do need to tell you some things before you download Yalu on your iOS 10.1.1 device :

- First, it is a beta jailbreak and this may cause problems on your device. Users will likely experience instability and a number of glitches
- Second, Yalu is semi-untethered, the same as PPHelper is and that means, every time your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch is rebooted, you must reactivate Yalu for it to work
- Third, you have to use Cydia Impactor [ext link] to side-load the jailbreak and this means needing an Apple ID. You can set up a dummy account if you don’t want to use your own but be aware – the Yalu certificate will expire after 7 days on a free Apple ID [ 12 months on a paid developer ID ] and you will need to reinstall the jailbreak

While Yalu jailbreak for iOS 10.1.1 is going to be welcomed by many, it has been suggested by Luca Todesco that, not only may this be the last jailbreak for some time, because of the instability issues, you might want to wait until it has been stabilized, especially if you are new to the jailbreaking scene.
